The Misfits were engaged to deliver the 2024 B&T Awards, celebrating standout achievements in media, marketing, and advertising. With over 1,000 industry professionals attending, the event needed to be bold, unforgettable, and resonate with a diverse audience. The retro gaming theme provided the perfect backdrop for a night that combined nostalgia with high-energy celebration.

Our approach centered on crafting an immersive experience paying homage to the golden age of arcade gaming. Blending iconic 80s aesthetics with cutting-edge event design, we created an environment that was playful, sophisticated, and perfectly suited to the creative minds in attendance.

Outcome

The 2024 B&T Awards transformed the venue into a vibrant retro arcade world, featuring neon-lit spaces, authentic arcade machines, immersive gaming zones, and visuals inspired by Atari-style graphics. Retro gaming soundtracks mixed with contemporary beats set a lively tone.

The program included a dynamic awards ceremony celebrating the industry’s best, interspersed with interactive moments that brought the theme to life. Guests enjoyed a curated menu inspired by 80s classics with a modern twist and exclusive photo ops designed for maximum shareability.

Every detail, from high-tech lighting displays to themed décor, embodied the retro gaming theme while spotlighting the industry’s achievements. The result was an electric night of recognition, connection, and celebration that left attendees buzzing long after the final award.
