The Misfits partnered with B&T to transform Cairns Crocs into Australia’s most energising creative festival, blending world-class content with tropical flair. Our approach was to dial up the fun without losing the substance — a clever collision of beach vibes and big ideas. We led the creative direction and production to ensure the event was anything but traditional: immersive stage builds, seamless speaker experiences, and unforgettable brand activations brought energy to every corner. The result was a festival that didn’t just talk about creativity but embodied it — fresh, fearless, and uniquely Far North Queensland.

The Misfits executed Cairns Crocodiles across creative, logistics, production, and partner activations, delivering a truly standout event. We managed 1,800+ attendees, 100+ speakers, and a packed schedule across three days and multiple venues. From custom builds for sponsors like Pinterest and TikTok to talent wrangling and AV across every session, we ensured a seamless experience. The festival generated 6,476 visitor nights and brought an estimated $2.2 million to the local economy. With sold-out events, nonstop social buzz, and serious industry FOMO, The Misfits helped Cannes in Cairns cement itself as Australia’s boldest and most joyful creative gathering.
