The Misfits brought SAP Transformation Express to life by reimagining the 1974 Kombi as a mobile innovation hub — blending retro charm with cutting-edge tech. Our approach focused on storytelling through experience, creating a rolling activation that connected SAP’s transformative solutions with local businesses across metro and regional Australia. From designing the custom Kombi fit-out to managing logistics and event touchpoints, The Misfits ensured every stop was immersive, educational, and visually striking. The goal: demystify digital transformation for SMEs by meeting them where they are, literally and figuratively, with a fun, approachable brand experience that sparked genuine conversations.
Outcome
The Misfits executed the Transformation Express with end-to-end production, tour logistics, staffing, and regional engagement strategies. The Kombi was reengineered as a sleek demo space, equipped with screens and interactive tech to showcase SAP’s capabilities on the road. Our team secured strategic pit stops in high-traffic metro areas and rural hubs, tailoring each experience to local business needs. The result? A high-impact national tour that delivered strong foot traffic, media attention, and direct pipeline opportunities. SAP’s complex offering was made tangible, approachable, and memorable — all from the back of a beautifully restored Kombi van.
